An IRA volunteer, he was unarmed at the time of the shooting.Teresa Jordan is challenging a decision of the Court of Appeal that a bereaved next of kin can only bring a claim for damages arising from the State’s failure to hold an inquest promptly, after the inquest has been concluded.Jordan’s solicitor, Fearghal Shiels of Madden & Finucane, said that allowing the appeal had vindicated Teresa’s decision. https://jrnl.ie/4527505 UK Supreme Court allows appeal from mother of man killed by RUC in 1992 Pearse Jordan was 23 when he was shot in the back in Belfast in November 1992.
