Hire 10 encourages employers to make the pledge

AddThis Sharing ButtonsShare to TwitterTwitterShare to FacebookFacebookShare to RedditRedditShare to 電子郵件Email Recruiters hoping to help those laid off in the city say they’ve seen an increase in the amount of people looking for work.Shawn Baldwin is the CEO of Hire 10, a pledge that businesses make to hire 10 people in the city.Oil and gas may have been hit hard, but Baldwin says there are other sectors in need of people now in this economic downturn.“We’re seeing activity in healthcare, we’re seeing quite a bit of activity in the tech sector, there’s a number of organizations within the logistical area, [and] manufacturing there’s still some,” he said.Hire 10 is holding an event in hopes of helping connect employers with job seekers on Thursday.
